Luke chapter 10 relates the familiar story of "the good Samaritan" who came to the aid of "a certain man" who had fallen among thieves and been robbed, stripped, beaten, and left for dead. In this parable, the Samaritan binds up the wounds, and "pours in oil and wine" for healing and cleansing of the wounded man. This is also both the foundational scripture and an encapsulated view of a powerful ministry to the hurting and wounded in the "army of the Lord" now known as "Wounded Warrior Ministries".
